Laia´s Phantasmophon

Hans Lüdemann:  piano, keyboard and electronics Aly Keita: Balaphon Drums and guest changing.  Trio Ivoire is a trio that consists of piano, balaphon and drums. They work at the melting of west african music with european jazzmusic.  I know Hans Lüdemann also as one of my piano teachers since my studies in Cologne.  I find, that this project is a bit similar to the project that Thaung Htike and I develop.  It has additional drums.  And Hans is providing electronics as well. And quarter note effects thanks to his little keyboard on top of the piano. A concept that he has been working on for a long period and involved this concept into his music in general. Observing this project now with this new perspective in mind, can I find inspiration for my work with Thaunh Htike? Inspiration:  Is it interesting for me in the future to also use electronic additions for either or both my voice and my piano??? I could imagine to gain interesting blend...

An incredible saxophone player and singer.  In his singing I can hear his saxophone playing as well. There are these jodel-like passages. I love them! I want to practice and add the song "Moody" to my personal repertoire.  Especially to the repertoire of the Brubeck Duo with Sabine Kühlich. Since Moody interesting wise is a composition of Dave Brubeck! She is a very versatile artist and  the different aspects and forms of her work seem to be well accepted by herself as well as others. An excerption from the article is about her work with the saxophonist Joe Lovano. Esperanza Spalding had doubts about her role in the band and if she was good enough for the band. Lovano assured her, that if someone asks you to be in his band, he already trusts your abilities. And he advised her to play what she felt and to be herself in the music.
